About Us
The NTU Student Counseling Center was established in 1964 to help students work through their adjustment problems and promote their mental health and psychological well-being.

The Counseling Center is open from Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm During the summer and winter break, the center will be closed at 12:00 pm to 01:30 pm for lunch break.  Currently, a team of 23 full-time professional counselors including psychologists and social workers provides variety of mental health services to all NTU students. Part-time counselors are available for individual therapy during day time and evening hours. English counseling is available for international students.

Students are welcome to make their intake appointment online. Referrals can also be made by students, staff and faculties. After the intake session, further services can be arranged for the students’ benefits.

The Center plays an important role of crisis intervention in the university community. Our counselors work closely with the campus security team to protect our students from harm.  During the normal office hours, a counselor is always available for walk-in emergency.
The Department of Psychiatry of the NTU Hospital stands to facilitate the service system. Psychiatric out-patient care and emergency service are also provided by the NTU Hospital.
